The Smart Stud is our most versatile fastening approach. The compact geometry makes it a suitable replacement for any fastener regardless of load or temperature. The Smart Stud removes the need for an external reaction point and the possibility of galling from bolting operations.
Each Smart Stud rotationally couples the driving tool with the stud body and the washer with the stud neck. These features completely eliminate side loads, pinch points and reaction arms from the bolting process.
The relatively thick section of a Smart Stud’s outer sleeve reduces stresses for excellent performance on high temperature applications where creep rupture resistance is required.
